Earth Day Giving Back Giveaway!

Sorry this post didn't go up at Noon, like normal. Don't know what happened, but Blogger didn't push it up at the scheduled time.

A fellow Blogger and recent winner of one of A Giveaway A Day's prizes decided she wanted to give back to another reader! She crochets and decided what better way to give back than to do it AND help the environment at the same time!

So she wants to give one of you this fabulous bag that she crocheted for this special Earth Day Giveaway! It will be great for groceries, towels at the beach, balls for the park, etc. Many uses for this pretty bag! What would you use it for?

What other ways are you helping our Earth? Feel free to share them here in the comment section. I always love new and exciting ideas!

If you wish, head over to http://www.crochetnhugs.blogspot.com/ to tell her thank you for doing such a nice thing for someone. She is a sweet lady and a wonderful crafty artist!

This is her take on the Go Green Market Bag, by Suzetta.

I'd use this for going to the library with the kids for our books and for taking stuff on a picnic...like the plates, cups, utensils etc. Thanks to the lady who crocheted this!

With this nice bag, I would probably use this bag when I shop at our health food store, Good Earth Market.

I have your button. :0)

Today for Earth Day, my daughter, grandchildren, and I went to the Good Earth Market. It was wonderful! Here in our relatively small city, they became the first place to have an official plug-in for battery operated cars. There was yummy food, ideas on going green, etc.

Ways I am trying to help the Earth—and myself too:

Started recycling recently (We don’t have much of that here so will be hauling it to the place ourselves).
Started my compost several weeks ago—turning things back into earth is wonderful!
No longer buy deodorant or toothpaste—make my own organic
No longer buy laundry detergent—make my own—so no more containers thrown away.
Went back to gardening this year

And, that’s just the beginning!

Thanks for the give-away. :0)

That's a great bag! I would use it for...something. Everything. But specifically? I don't know. Maybe for my library books. =)

I would probably use it for groceries, etc when I shop. I love the colors! And one way that I feel I am going green is hanging out laundry. I love to do it and it saves money!

Cute bag! I would use it for picking up groceries, or maybe even to carry my library books. When I get 3 or 4 books they often put them in a plastic bag for me to carry out, but with this I could carry the books without having to use plastic!
