Fabulous Set of Cards Giveaway!

Do you miss writing handwritten notes? Or even better, getting them in the mail?

I know I do.

It's just way too easy to zip off an email instead. I don't have to pay for postage, worry about it getting lost in the mail or being delivered on time. Just hit send and it's right there. In a way it's sort of a letdown.

It doesn't matter whether it is a "Thank You", a "Get Well"or just a simple "I Miss You" card, it completely makes my day when someone special takes a little extra time to send me something in the mail.

Maybe I should try a little harder to make someone else's day a little brighter!

Maybe you should too.

So do y'all feel guilty now? Ashamed that you no longer send sweet notes to Great Auntie Hilda? Nervous that Niece Mary doesn't remember you? You've probably even forgotten most of their addresses...well physical mailing addresses...of course you remember their email addresses. Right?!!

Well today I want you to take the time and think about who you would write a note to if you were to win a nice set of cards (of your choice!!) from Lianna Knight's Shop. One of you will win a fabulous set of cards designed by one of our wonderful blog readers, Lianna. She has an Etsy store to help raise money for a very special cause near and dear to her heart.

Please head over to Lianna Knight's Shop and then come back here and tell me which set of cards you would choose if you were to win!

For a second entry please tell me who you would write your note to! I love juicy details, so spill it!

Spread the Love,
Photobucket

I would send a note to my best friend and I think I'd write a sweet Valentine in one to my daughter.

I'd write my mother who is due a very long letter actually. She doesn't use her computer anymore...finds it too complicated so we are back to snail mail.

Lena said...

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I would choose either the Pink Affection or L is for Love. Beautiful cards!

I would use them for thank you notes. I teach Tai Chi for free, and my students are always gifting me.

I will be sending them to members of our Health Care Co-op (SamaritanMinistries.org) when we send our shares.

What a cute card to get when you don't feel well.

Many Chicks, but they're all very cute! I think I'd send a card to my Latin Lover, telling him how hot I think he is...ha, ha, ha! You said "juicy," you didn't say it had to be factual.

Thank you!!

I still need to write some thank-you notes for Christmas gifts.

Ashleigh said...

I would send these little cards as Thank Yous once our impending Ethiopian Adoption is completed. We have many friends and family far away who are ready to shower our little-one-to-be with gifts. These would make perfect "Thank yous" for their kindness!
Thank you again.

The High Family said...

I would send a card to my girlfrined (whom I haven't seen in 5 years!) Katja who lives in Germany. How I miss her!

Tracy said...

How beautiful!! :) I love the Pink Affection. What a wonderful thought...an actual hand written letter!! :)
My daughters can't seem to understand what it was like to have Penpals when I was younger. In some ways technology is wonderful, but in other ways, it's so impersonal...hand written letters are a treat now! :)
Thank you for offering this!

Tracy said...

I would write a love letter to my husband! It's been a LONG time since I've done that. :)

Stephanie said...

I really like the Happy Spring or the pink and black "Just because" cards.

Stephanie said...

First I would send one to a dear friend who always remembers to send me notes (the real thing). Then I would give one to a good friend who just had knee surgery and isn't feelin' too hot! Third, I think I would send a note to a very sweet lady who is a type of mentor to me - just to tell her how much she is appreciated!

Jackie said...

One of my favorites is the Hot Yellow Thank You cards. It's nice to thank someone in person for something they have done for you, but to take the time to sit down and write a thank you note really shows how much you appreciate them.

Jackie said...

I think I would give two of the Thank You cards to my daughter to send to the teachers who wrote her college recommendation letters. I would send one to the Middle School teacher who is directing the play my other daughter is in. I think the teachers would appreciate knowing how thankful the girls are for all they do for them.

The happy spring one is so cute! Makes me wish spring would hurry up and get here!

First off, I love the Pink Affection, and the Two Hearts. For an everyday card the just because. The just because cards are the best to give!!!

P.S. Tell you in a little bit who I'd send it to....

Theresa said...

I would write to my Mom! In college I've been pretty slack with keeping up with her, especially since she's back in school too! So I know she would enjoy a little note in the mail!

Michelle said...

I love the pink baby cards. Since I send our family pictures of our daughter, the real mail way, not email...these cards would be perfect for a little note and a little picture of our baby girl.

Michelle said...

For my second entry...I would send me first card to my Great Grandparents, who are still alive and well, and have never met our daughter. Ya see...there is about 9,000 miles between us, sadly.

Rachel(Racheibug) said...

Oh yes, I would send a card to my sister, who lives 5 hours away. Maybe that would be a start in smoothing the rift between us....

Bridget said...

I love the pink snowflake - perfect for sending to friends in this weather :)

Kate said...

I would use them for birthday cards throughout the year. Hmmm. The first I suppose would go to my friend Molly with a birthday in March. I can't think of a single Februrary birthday.

karen m. said...

I try to write notes every few months to my girlfriends all around the country. A note, whether it's quick update on the kids, food finds, house projects, work, or even a list of book favorites, seems more sweet and fun when it's handwritten on a pretty card. I like receiving happy mail and guess that friends do too!

Gene Black said...

I love the Fall Stripes but I also love the "Happy Bird Day" cards.

The Nana would definitely get a thanks for loving me card if I chose Fall Stripes. The Happy Bird Day would be such fun to send to my nieces (their birthdays are one day apart)

Gas Family said...

2nd entry...I will have my daughter color the insides, and send our distant relatives a Happy Easter card.

Thanks!

Wammy said...

They are all great but right at this moment I would have to choose L is for Love!

Wammy said...

You ask, why would I choose that one and who would I send it to....definately my husband. He is a store manager for Circuit City. As you might know they are closing all stores, leaving hundreds of people without jobs. We fall into that category. He is such a Godly man...he is concerned for our family but he is more concerned with his CC store family. I went to the store the other day and he was going around the store talking to all the employees and being a big cheerleader. He was making them laugh and smile. Trying to make lemonade out of lemons I guess. I would hide this card in his lunch bag and tell him how proud I am of him and how I wish I could be as big a cheerleader for him.

Jo said...

I really like the green with envy cards because they are so elegant. She does beautiful cards!

Jo said...

I would send one to my grandson to let him know that I am thinking about him and how proud I am for how great he is doing. He has had a lot of problems and he is always so sad. I want him to know how much I truly love him.

I rarely take advantage of the posting twice. I feel like it today.

If I were to win the Jingle cards, I'd of course send them to immediate family.

The Gourd cards would be awesome because I'd send them to my sister and sis in laws, we grow them.

I actually write notes and cards to friends and family all the time. I, like you, think it is sad that it is too easy to email. It's a lost art. I love gettin' cards and letter's in the mail so I figure everyone else would enjoy gettin' somethin' as much as I do.

JAMBA said...

I love the paisley leaves! I also make my own cards, but I'm not nearly this talented or creative!
